Large Theropod Bones Discovered in Utah

Large allosaurid, named Siats meekerorum, from the Cretaceous discovered. By the artwork and description it appears to look like a carcharodontosaurid. These look like they were slowly climbing the ranks the same time as tyrannosaurs.

Triceratops "family" Unearthed in Wyoming

A possible triceratops family of three has been discovered in Wyoming and is being excavated by the Black Hills Institute.

RIP Ray Harryhausen

Ray was an inspiration to many of today's CGI artists. Where it takes teams of people today, Ray did it all by himself. His creatures were real to us as kids and we couldn't figure out how it was done. It wasn't a guy in a suit. We knew that. But, to us it was magic.

Thanks for the magic, Ray.

Korean Dinosaur Movie Coming to DVD and BluRay in the US

The Korean CG film, Speckles, the  Tarbosaurus will be coming to DVD and BluRay. The US title will be, Dino King 3D.

It looks a lot like Disney's Dinosaur, but the CG looks phenomenal.

The folks who brought us the Walking with Dinosaurs series, have now made a 3D movie similar to the series, but with a "movie" story line.

Stan Winston Studios Posting JURASSIC PARK Behind the Scenes Videos

For those of us that loved JURASSIC PARK when it came out 20 years ago, you will love these behind the scenes videos of the mechanics of the full size animatronic puppets used in the film.

And, with the re-release of JP, this time in 3D, the timing couldn't be better

Interesting "new" dinosaur "discovered". Yes, I'm "quote" crazy. That's because this guy was apparently lying around in a Harvard University drawer for 50 years.
